Bird Watching

Lower Zambezi is a paradise for birders with more than 350 species of birds being recorded in the valley. Many varieties of water-loving birds like pied, giant, woodland, malachite and brown-hooded kingfishers can be found by the river.  Fish eagles are always to be found perching on high branches that overlook the river. A leisurely boat cruise is likely to reveal the ever present Fish Eagle, Herons, Kingfishers, Coppery Tailed Coucal.
